Ottawa scores twice in the second and third periods; skates past Plymouth 4-1. Garrett Meurs had an assist on the lone Whalers tally and he was minus two for the game. Meurs did earn third star of the game honors. His club was a collective 0-6 on the power play.


Val-d'Or blanks Blainville - Boisbriand 2-0. The Foreurs were held to 25 shots on goal. Gabriel Beaupre did not factor in on the scoring and did not have a shot on goal. Val-d'Or was 1-3 on the power play. Beaupre is still looking for his first point of the season.

Quebec records three goals in the second frame; routs Shawinigan 5-1. Dillon Donnelly was minus two for the contest. He was also penalized for cross-checking late in the first period. Donnelly fired a single shot on net.


Tri-City upends Portland 4-0. Despite the loss, the Winterhawks dominated in shots 43-22. Defenseman Troy Rutkowski was minus two on the evening. He was penalized for interfernce in the third period. Portland finished 0-6 on the power play.
