Oklahoma City upends Lake Erie 5-1. The Monsters are now 1-2 on their seven game road trip. Goaltender John Grahame took the loss in net as he allowed four of those goals on 23 shots. Ryan Stoa had the lone tally for the Monsters and he now has 14 on the season.
The Monsters were held to 21 shots on net and were 0-5 on the power play. Lake Erie falls two games under 0.500. The Monsters have two days off before visiting the Hamilton Bulldogs on Wednesday.
Owen Sound falls to Ottawa 6-4. Joey Hishon factored in on all four Attack goals. Hishon opened the scoring with his 25th goal of the season in the first period. He assisted on the other three tallies scored by Owen Sound. Hishon is now fourth in OHL scoring with 59 points in 30 games. He was named the third star of the game.
Chilliwack trips up Seattle in overtime 5-4. Calvin Pickard stopped 22 shots in the loss. His club was able to convert on two power play opportunities. The Thunderbirds fall to 17-16-4-4.
Portland trims Everett in the shoot-out 5-4. The Winterhawks fired 50 shots on goal. Troy Rutkowski was minus one during regulation and did not factor offensively in the game. His club improves to 27-12-0-3.
Boston University doubles up Vermont 4-2. Kieran Millan earned his sixth win of the season. He stopped 29 Catamounts shots and was named the third star of the game. Vermont was 0-6 with the man advantage. Overall, the Terriers improved to 9-5-6.
