Belleville hammers Oshawa 6-1. Stephen Silas was held off the score sheet for the Bulls. He was plus one for the contest. Belleville has won only 10 of their first 31 games.
Spokane hands Portland their worst loss of the season with a 9-3 thrashing. Troy Rutkowski had one of the three Winterhawks goals. The tally, scored in the second period, was his fifth goal of the season. Despite the loss, Portland still has the most points in the league with 47. Rutkowski was minus two for the game.
Swift Current upends Kelowna 4-1. Tyson Barrie, as he prepares for the Canadian National Junior Team selection camp, was minus three for the contest. Both clubs combined to go 0-11 on the power play. The loss drops the Rockets to 16-13.
Boston University out lasts Northeastern 5-4. The Terriers, after being swept by rival Boston College this past weekend, were out shot 41-20. Kieran Millan stopped 36 shots. His record improves to 5-2-5. Each club scored one power play goal.
Neftekhimik dumps CSKA 5-2. Denis Parshin assisted on one of the two CSKA goals. He was penalized for hooking late in the third period. He fired three shots on net in just over 19 minutes of ice time.
