Tuesday Scoreboard


Missouri scores twice in the third period to trip up Tulsa 2-1.  Harrison Reed was held to a single shot on net.  Tom Fritsche was minus one for the game, but did not record a shot on goal.  The Oilers fall back to 15-15-1.


Owen Sound edges Barrie in a shoot-out 7-6.  Owen Sound had a 50-37 shot advantage.  Joey Hishon scored his 18th goal of the season in the first period for the Attack.  He would also assist on an Attack goal scored in the third frame.  Hishon was penalized for slashing and scored one of the goals for Owen Sound in the shoot-out.


Tri-City dumps Portland 5-1.  The Americans dominated in shots 52-21.  Defenseman Troy Rutkowski was even for the game.  The Winterhawks were 0-6 on the power play.

Spokane blanks Seattle 2-0.  Calvin Pickard stopped 25 shots in the loss.  Pickard has nine regulation losses in 31 starts for the Thunderbirds.  Seattle falls to 15-12-3-4.



CSKA doubles up Yugra 4-2.  Denis Parshin notched his 11th goal of the season.  He fired three shots on goal in 17:07 of ice time.

World Junior Championship

Canada hammers the Czech Republic 7-2.  Tyson Barrie scored his first goal of the tournament on a 5-on-3 power play in the third period.  He would assist on another goal in the same period.  Barrie had three of the 39 shots on goal for the Canadians.
