Saturday Scoreboard


Tulsa falls to Misssissippi 4-1.  Harrison Reed led the Oilers in shots with six, but was minus two for the game.  Tulsa was 0-7 on the power play.  Former Avalanche prospect, Ian Keserich, stopped 32 shots in the win for the RiverKings.


Owen Sound edges Erie 3-2.  Joey Hishon notched his 11th goal of the season and assisted on the other two Attack tallies.  He now has 19 points in nine games.  Owen Sound improves to 12-4-0-1.

Kingston trims Belleville in a shoot-out 3-2.  Stephen Silas had a plus one rating for the game.  He did not participate in the shoot-out for the Bulls.  His club was 0-6 with the man advantage.  Belleville falls to 5-12-0-1.


Shawinigan trips up Halifax 5-4.  Michael Bournival had two helpers in the game.  He was held to one shot on net and only won 12 of 23 face-off chances.  Bournival was penalized for high-sticking and roughing in the second period.


Brandon nips Seattle 3-2.  Calvin Pickard gave up all three Wheat Kings tallies on 40 shots.  He suffered his fourth regulation loss of the season.  Pickard has started all 14 games for the Thunderbirds. 

Saskatoon skates by Medicine Hat 4-3 in overtime.  Stefan Elliott scored twice in the game, including the overtime winner.  He now has six tallies on the season.  Elliott was named the second star of the game.  The Blades improve to 13-5.  

Portland doubles up Everett 4-2.  Troy Rutkowski assisted on a second period goal scored by the Winterhawks.  He has nine points in 17 contests for Portland.  The Winterhawks lead the US Division with 29 points; a five point lead over second place Tri-City.

Kelowna thumps Chilliwack 9-5.  Tyson Barrie recorded his third goal of the season for the Rockets and added three helpers.  The rearguard earned first star of the game honors.  The Rockets captain now has 13 points in 11 games.  Barrie was assessed with a five-minute fighting major in the second period.



Michigan tops Alaska-Fairbanks 5-2.  Luke Moffatt scored his first career collegiate goal.  He would also add an assist and finish with a plus three rating.  Moffatt was penalized for interference in the second period.  The Wolverines improve to 5-2-3.

Hockey East

Maine and Boston University skate to a 2-2 tie.  Kieran Millan was penalized for high-sticking in the second period.  He stopped 34 shots in the contest.  His record now sits at 4-0-2.


Wisconsin and Minnesota finish in a 3-3 draw.  Nate Condon was held to a single shot on net for the Gophers.  He was even for the game.  Kent Patterson was credited with the secondary assist on a second period power play goal scored by Minnesota.  He stopped 23 shots in the contest and remains undefeated on the season with a 4-0-1 record.

Minnesota Duluth upends North Dakota in overtime 3-2.  Brad Malone fired three shots on the Bulldogs net in his return from a one game suspension.  He was penalized for hooking in the second period.  North Dakota falls to 5-4-1.
