Sunday Scoreboard


Mississauga doubles up Owen Sound 6-3.  Joey Hishon had two helpers in the game, but finished with a minus two rating.  He was hit with a tripping minor early in the first period.  The loss drops Owen Sound to 17-6-0-2.

Niagara tops Belleville 4-1.  The Bulls were out shot 32-23.  Stephen Silas was minus one for the game.  He has yet to record a goal this season.  Belleville has 17 losses in regulation this year.


Medicine Hat edges Portland in a shoot-out 3-2.  Troy Rutkowski assisted on a power play goal scored in the second period by the Winterhawks.  He was penalized for roughing in the first period.  Rutkowski finished the game with a minus one rating.  Portland lost in the shoot-out 1-0.


Hockey East

Boston College hammers Vermont 6-0.  Paul Carey notched his fifth goal of the season for the Eagles.  It was his only shot in the game.  He also assisted on another BC tally.  Carey earned third star of the game honors.  Boston College improves to 9-5-0.

College Hockey Showcase (Minneapolis, MN)

Michigan falls to Minnesota 3-1.  Nate Condon opened the scoring with a nice tally late in the first period.  He was named the third star of the game.  Kent Patterson did not start the game for the Gophers and served as the backup.  Luke Moffatt skated on the fourth line for the Wolverines, but was minus one for the contest.  Minnesota earns their eighth win of the season.



CSKA tops Amur 5-3.  Denis Parshin was penalized for slashing in the first period.  He was held to only one shot on goal and had 15:08 of ice time.  CSKA has eight regulation wins in 28 games.
