Friday Scoreboard


Oklahoma City trips up Lake Erie in overtime 3-2.  The Barons had the edge in shots 36-27.  John Grahame made his first start since being reassigned and stopped 30 shots in the game.  Luke Walker (3) and Mark Olver (8) scored for the Monsters in the second period.

Justin Mercier assisted on both Lake Erie tallies.  The Monsters were 1-2 on the power play.  The two clubs will face-off again on Saturday afternoon.

Bossier-Shreveport topples Tulsa 6-2.  Harrison Reed was minus three in the game and fired two shots on net.  Tom Fritsche was penalized for holding the stick in the second period.  He failed to record a shot on goal.  The Oilers drop to 5-12-1. 


Belleville upends Guelph 4-1.  Stephen Silas had the primary assist on a power play goal scored in the third period.  He was also penalized for slashing in the second period.  The Bulls were 1-6 on the power play.

Kitchener blanks Sarnia 1-0.  Brandon Maxwell made 34 saves to earn the shutout.  He was assessed a delay of game minor in the second period.  Maxwell was named the first star of the game.  


Saskatoon falls to Prince Albert 3-1.  Stefan Elliott was penalized for hooking in the second period.  He finished the game with a minus one rating.  Elliott was named the third star of the game.  The Blades drop to 17-6-0-1.

Chilliwack dumps Portland 7-2.  Troy Rutkowski assisted on one of the two Winterhawks goals.  He was minus one for the game.  The Bruins scored five unanswered goals in the third period.

Seattle stops Everett 4-1.  Calvin Pickard stopped 30 of 31 shots for the Thunderbirds.  He was named the first star of the game.  Seattle improves to 11-5-3-4.


Hockey East

Merrimack stuns Boston College 5-3.  Paul Carey was held without a shot on goal and was even for the game.  The Eagles were 2-6 with the man advantage.  BC falls to 8-5-0.

Subway Holiday Classic (Grand Forks, ND)

North Dakota doubles up Notre Dame 6-3.  Brad Malone assisted on a second period goal.  He was also penalized for interference in the same frame and slashing in the third period.  North Dakota improves to 9-5-1.

College Hockey Showcase

Michigan State tops Minnesota 5-2.  Kent Patterson was pulled in the first period after allowing three Spartans goals.  Nate Condon was held off the score sheet and was minus one for the game.  He fired three shots on goal for the Gophers.  Minnesota falls to 7-5-1.

Michigan and Wisconsin skate to a 4-4 tie.  Luke Moffatt notched his second goal of the season.  Michigan finished 2-5 on the power play and they out shot the Badgers 32-24.



JYP skates by Ilves 3-1.  Sami Aittokallio made 36 saves in the loss.
