Wednesday Scoreboard


Lake Erie doubles up Rockford 4-2.  Ryan Stoa is starting to get hot for the Monsters; he potted his third and fourth goals of the season.  Another player who is picking it up offensively for the Monsters,  Mike Carman, notched his fifth goal of the season.  Patrick Rissmiller had the other tally for Lake Erie.

Jason Bacashihua started the game and made 28 saves for the Monsters.  He has seven wins on the season.  Julian Talbot contributed with two assists.  Jonas Holos recorded his first point since being reassigned; an assist on Rissmiller's first period goal.  Stoa, Talbot and Bacashihua were named the three stars of the game.

Goaltender Trevor Cann was reassigned to the Tulsa Oilers (CHL).

Sarnia edges Owen Sound in a shoot-out 4-3.  Joey Hishon assisted on a third period power play goal for the Attack.  However, Hishon was unable to convert on his shoot-out opportunity.  He is currently 15th in the OHL in scoring with 31 points in 15 games.


Everett falls to Portland 4-2.  Troy Rutkowski was held without a point, but finished plus one for the game.  The Winterhawks currently hold the best record in the WHL.

Kelowna dumps Regina 6-1.  Tyson Barrie assisted on the first two goals scored by the Rockets.  He finished plus one for the contest.  Kelowna improves to 13-11 on the season.

Tri-City trims Seattle in a shoot-out 5-4.  Calvin Pickard did all he could to keep his club in the game by making 55 saves in regulation and in overtime.  He allowed one goal in the shoot-out.  Despite the loss, he was named the third star of the game.
