AHL

Lake Erie trips up Toronto 2-1.  After falling behind 1-0 in the second period, the Monsters received goals from Ryan Stoa (1) and Mike Carman (3).  Both goals were unassisted.  

Jason Bacashihua made 33 saves in the game.  He has six wins on the season.  The Monsters were 0-4 on the power play.  Carman, Bacashihua, and Stoa were named the three stars of the game.

Kitchener edges Kingston 4-3.  Brandon Maxwell stopped 35 shots.  His record improves to 11-4.  Maxwell was named the third star of the game.  The Rangers sit one point behind Owen Sound for the Midwest Division lead.  

Belleville falls to Ottawa 5-2.  Stephen Silas was held off the score sheet and is still looking for his first goal of the season.  The Bulls fall to 6-15-0-2.

Owen Sound upends Sudbury 4-1.  Joey Hishon assisted on two of the Attack goals.  He's 13th in the OHL in scoring with 30 points in 13 games.  The Attack improves to 16-4-0-1.

WHL

Saskatoon trims Kootenay 2-1.  The Ice had the edge in shots 40-23.  Stefan Elliott was plus two for the contest.  He was penalized for tripping in the second period.  The Blades record improves to 15-5-0-1.

Kelowna doubles up Prince George 4-2.  Despite not recording a point, Tyson Barrie was named the first star of the game.  The Rockets captain has 16 points in 15 games.

Seattle holds off Spokane in a shoot-out 2-1.  Calvin Pickard stopped 48 shots in 65 minutes of game action.  He stopped two of the three Spokane shoot-out attempts.  Pickard picked up his 10th win of the season and was named the first star of the game.

NCAA

CCHA

Michigan thumps Lake Superior 7-2.  Luke Moffatt assisted on the opening goal scored by the Wolverines.  He fired three shots on net and finished plus two for the game.  Moffatt has seven points in nine games for Michigan.

Hockey East

New Hampshire tops Boston University 5-2.  Kieran Millan suffered his first loss of the season.  The Wildcats fired 49 shots on the BU net; Millan stopped 44 of them.  The Terriers fall to 6-1-4.  

Boston College blanks Maine 4-0.  Paul Carey notched his second goal of the season.  The power play tally, scored in the first period, turned out to be the game winner.  BC improves to 7-4-0 with the win.

WCHA

North Dakota nips Nebraska-Omaha 6-5.  Brad Malone assisted on two of the North Dakota goals, including on the game winner.  He was penalized for interference in the first period.  Malone was named the third star of the game.

Minnesota skates by Michigan Tech 6-4.  Kent Patterson improves to 5-0-1.  He stopped 19 shots in the contest.  Nate Condon fired four shots on goal and was plus one for the game.

Traktor beats CSKA 3-2.  Denis Parshin was penalized for hooking in the first period.  He failed to record a shot on goal in 17:28 of ice time.

Mestis

LeKi stops K-Laser 5-3.  Sami Aittokallio made 26 saves in the victory for Leki.
