Sunday Scoreboard


Lake Erie blanks Manitoba 2-0.  It was the second time the teams had met in the last three days.  There wasn't any scoring until the third period when defenseman Joel Chouinard potted his first professional goal.  Chouinard has points in all three games he has played this season.  Julian Talbot (4) sealed the game with an empty net tally.

Jason Bacashihua stopped all 19 shots he faced.  He evens his record to 3-3-0-1.  Chouinard, Talbot and Bacashihua were named the first, second, and third stars of the game respectively.  The Monsters power play failed to click again as they went 0-5 in the game.  Lake Erie returns to the ice on Friday night when they face the Chicago Wolves.

Wichita thumps Tulsa 8-0.  Harrison Reed was held without a shot on goal and was minus four for the game.  Tom Fritsche managed one shot on net and ended the game with a minus two rating.  The Oilers record drops to 2-5-1.  


Saskatoon tops Calgary 5-3.  Stefan Elliott notched the game winning tally with a minute remaining in regulation.  It was his fourth goal and 13th point of the season.  He was plus two for the game.  The Blades improve to 11-4.
