Saturday Scoreboard


Tulsa falls to Bloomington in overtime 2-1.  Harrison Reed fired five shots on net and was minus one for the game.  Trevor Cann did not suit up for the contest.  Tulsa had the edge in shots 38-28, but were 0-6 on the power play.


Saginaw dumps Belleville 5-2.  Stephen Silas was minus two for the game.  He has six assists through 13 contests and is also minus five.  The Bulls fall to 3-10.

Owen Sound pounds Sarnia 9-4.  Joey Hishon had another outstanding offensive performance.  He scored twice and assisted on three other Attack goals.  Hishon was named the first star of the game.  He has 13 points in just four games this season.


Shawinigan doubles up Baie-Comeau 4-2.  Michael Bournival notched his 7th goal of the season and added a helper.  He launched four shots on goal and won 50 percent of his face-offs.  Bournival earned first star of the game honors.


Saskatoon tops Medicine Hat 4-1.  Stefan Elliott assisted on two Blades power play goals.  He was plus one for the contest.  Elliott is now averaging a point per game (11 in 11).  Saskatoon improves to 10-2.


Hockey East

Boston University trims Providence 2-1.  The Friars dominated in shots 40-20.  Kieran Millan stood tall for the Terriers stopping 39 of 40 shots.  He was named the first star of the game.  Millan's record improves to 3-0-1.


Maine sweeps the two game set, beats North Dakota 4-2.  Brad Malone registered three shots on goal and finished with a plus one rating.  He was penalized for hitting from behind in the first period, hooking in the second, and tripping in the third.  Two of his penalties led to Maine goals.

Notre Dame edges Boston College 2-1.  The loss is the first of the season for the Eagles.  Paul Carey fired two shots on net for the Eagles.  He was even for the game and skated on the second line.



KooKoo upends LeKi 3-1.  Sami Aittokallio stopped 36 shots in the loss.  It was his first start for LeKi.
