Tulsa edges Wichita 4-3. Trevor Cann out duels former Avs prospect Ian Keserich.  Cann made 24 saves in the season opener for the Oilers.  Harrison Reed scored twice on seven shots and was named the second star of the game.


Kingston trims Belleville 2-1. Stephen Silas had a plus one rating for the game. He was assessed a fighting major in the second period. The Bulls were 0-3 on the power play.

Owen Sound doubles up Kitchener 6-3.  Joey Hishon sat out for the Attack as he continues to rest his injured hand.  Brandon Maxwell was in net for all six Attack goals.  He made 30 saves in the loss.  His record drops to 4-2 for the Rangers.


Quebec trips up Shawinigan 3-2. Michael Bournival assisted on a second period goal scored by the Cataractes. He had a plus two rating and fired six shots on net. Bournival also won 13 of 22 face-off opportunities.


Saskatoon tops Red Deer 2-1. The Blades were out shot 41-23. Stefan Elliott was even for the game. The Blades did not have a power play opportunity throughout the game.

Portland out lasts Kamloops 8-6. Troy Rutkowski assisted on a second period power play goal. He finished with an even rating. The Winterhawks have won seven of their first 10 games.

Seattle nips Vancouver in a shoot-out 4-3. Calvin Pickard stopped 27 shots in regulation and overtime. His team mates scored twice in the shoot-out to help him earn the victory. His record improves to 5-2.



North Dakota tops Bemidji State 5-2. Brad Malone launched five shots on goal. He was credited with a second period assist and finished with an even rating. Malone was penalized for elbowing in the first period and hooking in the third.

Nebraska-Omaha surprises Minnesota 5-4. Nate Condon scored his first collegiate goal on a power play in the second period.  He registered two shots on net and was even for the game.  The Gophers had the edge in shots 42-35.


Boston College thumps Denver 6-2. Paul Carey had a quiet offensive game for the Eagles.  He recorded a single shot on goal and was minus one for the contest.  Both teams were a combined 0-14 on the power play.
